Daniel Gare - Film Composer

Daniel Gare is a Melbourne-based film composer, classical singer and educator. After a wide range of performing experiences as a singer and pianist, Daniel began to compose music for films in 2002, and has written for a variety of short film projects, as wellas composing incidental music for live theatrical prodictions. His theme for the short film "Satisfaction" was the winner of the 2007 Johnny Dennis Light Music Awards Best Film Theme Award overseen by the Australian Screen Composers Guild. He had earlier won the Best Composed Award in the Soundtrack Awards run by Music and FIlm Independent Artists in 2003. While Daniel's influences certainly include classic works by Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota and Howard Shore, his range extends to more electronic and ambient styles.
